Novi Town Center introduces their new Artist Alleé Way, a walkway gallery of mural art that will feature impressionistic murals that depict the natural beauty found throughout Michigan's forests, lands, and waters. This mural was inspired by the eighteen Japanese cherry blossom trees painted at the Novi Michigan State tollgate farm in 2019 in celebration of the 50 year sister-state relationship between Japan's Shiga prefecture in Oakland County.

Experienced the beauty of the cherry blossom mural yourself when you visit the Artist Alleé Way located between Ideal Image and Tulip Nail & Spa at Novi Town Center.

'In honor of Wayland's sesquicentennial this year, a mural was painted on the north side of the Wayland Hotel bar and grill, located on the northwest corner of Main and Superior streets. Miller said the mural will be a welcoming sight for all to see while visiting the city. "This public art installation accomplishes many of the DDA's objectives for downtown," Miller said. "It will have traffic-calming effects, engage the community, increase pedestrian traffic, and generally strengthen downtown's sense of place - to highlight a few."'

They Will All Be Dreaming
Date

Location

Ann Arbor, MI.

Size

756sqft

This mural was created as part of a collaboration with the City of Ann Arbor and the A2AC: Ann Arbor Arts Council.

The inspiration for "They Will All Be Dreaming" stemmed from a desire to bring a touch of escapism into the everyday environment. I was fascinated by the idea of finding solace and inspiration in the sky, particularly during times of stress and uncertainty. The title, "They Will All Be Dreaming," is a nod to daydreaming, introspection, and the ethereal beauty of nature. This mural is a reminder that even amidst the chaos of life, there's a tranquil world above, waiting to ignite our imagination and provide a sanctuary for dreamers and thinkers alike.

You can find this mural in the meeting chambers of the Ann Arbor City Hall.
